swatchbook is proud to announce its academic partnership with Thomas Jefferson University!
We are very much inspired by Thomas Jefferson University's statement that "the professional world isn't siloed according to job descriptions."
We believe that a connected environment allows us to work collaboratively with one another & gives us the opportunity to interact with people from other disciplines, thereby recognizing that we are all part of a larger community.
It allows us to see the larger picture better!
"TJU fashion design faculty visited the PI conference in the Fall of 2022 & met with the swatchbook team. We talked about a possible collaboration with TJU allowing students of Fashion Design to explore the digital materials resources for their 3D design collections & product development. We are looking forward to empowering our students with the swatchbook platform for their creations & preparing them to enter the apparel industry career with the knowledge of how to use great tools for fashion digitalization." ~ Svetlana Shalumova, 3D Fashion Design & Development, Thomas Jefferson University
Both swatchbook & TJU believe in an approach that encourages teamwork & a collaborative spirit, while promoting the value of different perspectives. This makes this partnership inspirational for both sides!
“It's so exciting working with design students in the early phases of their careers. The energy & enthusiasm for boundless creativity is something to behold & we're thrilled to be able to support students in their explorations - with real materials from real suppliers on our platform." ~ Jason Eric Brown, CBDO, swatchbook
