We are excited to announce our partnership with Deckers Brands!
Deckers Brands began its journey into digital product creation over seven years ago, initially focusing on 3D footwear and later expanding to include 3D apparel.
In addition to digitizing their products using various applications, primarily Romans CAD and CLO3D, the team at Deckers had to simultaneously digitize their materials in-house, in order to visualize them in 3D.
With the current implementation of swatchbook, that process of digitizing materials is much more streamlined.
Today, a third of Deckers’ suppliers are already utilizing the benefits of swatchbook.
The suppliers are expanding digital libraries of their own and sharing curated collections directly on the platform with partnered brands.
The accuracy resulting from having measured fabric properties and metadata for each material, provides an additional benefit to the team at Deckers.
Through swatchbook, Deckers is able to accelerate its digital product creation process, eliminating many weeks of work previously spent digitizing materials.
The affordable cost is an added bonus, eliminating wasted time for both the material developers and the 3D team.
“swatchbook has been very useful for our 3D Design team, and we connect with them very well. It is not because they can speak Mandarin (my native language), but because they are very flexible in helping designers elevate their design process. For example, they helped us to set up the naming convention to provide our designers a better user experience. To sum up, I have a good time working with them, and they are willing to assist us to simplify the process to make sure we have a good experience. ”
